The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, through the Department of Youth and Sports, sent six youth participants for the MUSTAID Programme – International Youth Skills Development Camp, held until September 25, 2026 in Jabal Al Akhdar, Sultanate of Oman.
Acting Deputy Director of Youth and Sports Haswandi bin Haji Osman was present at Brunei International Airport to bid farewell to the delegation.
The six selected participants are members of the Youth Leadership, Innovation, Talent and Empowerment (Y-LITE) Programme, a youth development training platform organised by the Department of Youth and Sports under the ministry.
The MUSTAID Programme is a collaborative initiative between the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Sultanate of Oman and Outward Bound Oman, an internationally recognised educational institution.
The programme aims to equip young people to face diverse challenges and create a lasting impact through an innovative experiential learning-based training curriculum, while developing participants’ teamwork skills.
Throughout the duration of the camp, delegates will participate in outdoor camping activities, including hiking, competitions, and workshops, alongside educational visits to places of interest across Muscat.
The initiative also seeks to equip participants with future-ready skills, including lifelong learning, leadership, problem-solving, flexibility and adaptability, critical thinking, communication, creativity and innovation, as well as project management.
