The Royal Customs and Excise Department through the Law Enforcement Division recently conducted a joint operation with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and Royal Brunei Police Force in Kampung Menunggol.
During the operation, the authorities discovered a number of contraband, namely 1,110 cartons of cigarettes, and 108 bottles and two cans of alcoholic drinks. Also discovered were two boats and engines, believed to be used for smuggling activities.
All contraband and boats were seized and brought to the Law Enforcement Office for further investigation.
