A local man was charged under the Excise Order 2006 for possessing customs contraband.
Mohammad Syafiq Safwan bin Mohammad Jafar was found guilty for possessing 53 cartons and 1 packet of cigarettes of various brands and vape at a house in RPN Kampung Panchor Mengkubau. The accused pleaded guilty and was fined BND42,600 or 14 months imprisonment in default. All the contraband were seized to be destroyed.
