Brunei Darussalam's achievements in the field of digital health through the BruHealth application have received attention from the World Economic Forum through a special article published on the WEF's official blog recently. The article titled "How Brunei's BruHealth Journey Charts The Future of Digital Health" displays the vision of Brunei Darussalam's Government through the Ministry of Health in leading the country's digital health transformation.
The article highlighted Brunei Darussalam's journey in strengthening the resilience of its health system, empowering individuals to take responsibility for their own health, and utilizing "real-time" data to support public health strategies. Among other things, the article emphasised how BruHealth has grown beyond its original role during the pandemic, becoming a key pillar of the country's broader health transformation agenda. It now offers a range of services such as personal health monitoring, appointment booking, vaccination records and population health analytics.
Brunei Darussalam's appearance on the WEF platform is an important achievement that further strengthens the country's commitment to innovation in the field of health and the goal of building a healthier and more resilient community, in line with Wawasan Brunei 2035 and the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan.
