BINTULU (Dec 22): All civil servants in the Bintulu Division must consistently uphold integrity when discharging their duties, said Bintulu Resident Datu Nyurak Keti.
“Integrity must remain a top priority in the daily work of public servants, as it is a fundamental pillar in ensuring the effectiveness and credibility of their service.
“Every task must be carried out with dedication, honesty, and accountability, because integrity not only reflects an individual’s character but also the image of the organisation as a whole,” he said when officiating the Bintulu Divisional Adminstration Appreciation Dinner in Miri last Saturday.
Nyurak also underscored the importance of cultivating a results-oriented work culture and strengthening teamwork, noting that staff must work collaboratively and support each other to achieve shared objectives.
“In this context, every public servant shares the responsibility of ensuring that organisational goals are achieved successfully. Organisational success should not be measured solely by individual accomplishments, but by strong collaboration and collective commitment among all stakeholders,” he said.
He also expressed his appreciation to officers who had worked tirelessly throughout the year, including those who made personal sacrifices by giving up family time on weekends to ensure the smooth implementation of planned programmes and assignments.
He also voiced pride in the successful organisation of key events in Bintulu, including the Malaysia Day celebration, the opening of the Jepak Bridge and Agro Festival.
“All of these events drew widespread praise and an overwhelming response from the local community. The success of such major events is the result of collective involvement and close cooperation with various agencies in the Bintulu Division,” he said.
