KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 11): Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor led a state delegation to attend the two-day 2026 Madani Government Retreat at the EPF Learning Centre in Bangi, Selangor, which began on Saturday.
The Sabah delegation included Deputy Chief Minister I Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Joachim Gunsalam, Finance Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Masidi Manjun, and Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Ariffin Arif.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim delivered the keynote address on the first day of the retreat.
On the second day, Hajiji presented a discussion paper addressing current issues of public interest from Sabah’s perspective.
Also present were Deputy Prime Ministers, Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusuf – Penang Chief Minister, Chow Kon Yeow, Melaka Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Utama Ab Rauf Yusoh, Sarawak Premier Tan Sri Abang Johari Openg and Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amiruddin Shari (Selangor), Dato’ Sri DiRaja Haji Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail (Pahang), Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi (Johor) and Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad (Perak), as well as all Federal Cabinet ministers.
