Bandar Seri Beagawn - New Edge Beauty & Fitness Centre Sdn Bhd located at Batu Besurat Gadong, has been offering free professional beauty course in facial training to all job applicants who applied for the post of assistant beautician in the company, a press release stated.
According to the company's manager, a total of 10 applicants turned up for the interview but only three have agreed to accept the free training, which ran for around a week. The purpose of the course is to give the young school leavers a chance to learn and be a professionally trained beautician in the future.
During the duration of the course, which uses training materials from Australia, they learned how to analyse the skin, do cleansing massage, extract impurities, basic massage therapy and apply masks, peels and treatment creams. Trained beauticians were there to guide them in every step of the way.
At the end of the course, participants sat for a written and practical exam. After passing their exams, participants received certificates of acknowledgement. All three applicants are now employed as assistant beauticians in the company where they will have a better opportunity to improve their skills and increase their knowledge by learning from the well-trained professional beauticians.
New Edge Beauty & Fitness Centre is also planning to provide more free beauty trainings in the near future for young Bruneians who are interested to become professional beauticians. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
