The 3rd Consultative Meeting of Young Parliamentarians of AIPA serves as an important medium in strengthening regional solidarity, empowering youth leadership and harmonising their perspectives in policy formulation towards achieving the ASEAN Vision 2045 and the Sustainable Development Goals. The meeting was held online on 28 April 2026. The YPA meeting organised by the House of Representatives of the Republic of the Philippines carried the theme “ASEAN Youth: Strengthening Solidarity and Empowering Future Ready Leaders".
The meeting was attended by Yang Berhormat Dayang Chong Chin Yee and Yang Berhormat Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Hamdan, Members of the Legislative Council as well as other AIPA member countries including Timor Leste.
During the Plenary Session, Yang Berhormat Dayang Chong Chin Yee in her speech shared Brunei Darussalam's initiatives to strengthen youth skills and produce a digitally literate generation based on Wawasan Brunei 2035 and the National Youth Policy and Strategy 2020 - 2035. Yang Berhormat also emphasised the importance of creating a safe and conducive digital space, as well as raising awareness about the ethical use of technology. The members also attended two dialogue sessions.
