BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Ahad, 7 Disember. - Bas Belia BIMP-EAGA yang julung kali dianjurkan oleh Kementerian Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan bersama Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Sabah serta Kementerian Belia, Sukan dan Pembangunan Usahawan Sarawak, selaku rakan penganjur, telah berlangsung selama 16 hari merentasi Sabah, Sarawak dan Negara Brunei Darussalam (NBD). Bas Belia BIMP-EAGA 2025 di NBD telah diselaraskan oleh SSEAYP International Brunei Darussalam (BERSATU) selaku Rakan Strategik bersama Young Professional Network (YPN) bagi Forum Belia Brunei. Program ini menghimpunkan seramai 20 belia berusia antara 18 hingga 35 tahun dari NBD, Republik Indonesia, Malaysia (Sabah dan Sarawak) serta Republik Filipina. Para peserta terdiri daripada pelbagai latar belakang yang aktif dalam hal ehwal belia, merangkumi bidang pendidikan, kepimpinan, keusahawanan, pembangunan komuniti dan belia, serta kesukarelawanan. Projek ini adalah inisiatif pertama di bawah platform Kluster Sosio-Budaya dan Pendidikan, khususnya Kumpulan Kerja Pembangunan Belia dan Sukan. Pencapaian ini mencerminkan komitmen bersama dalam memperkasa golongan belia serta mengeratkan hubungan antara negara-negara BIMP-EAGA. Inisiatif ini juga diharap akan dapat memupuk pemahaman silang budaya, persahabatan dan solidariti dalam kalangan belia 'sub-regional'; menyediakan pendedahan yang bermakna terhadap kepelbagaian sosiobudaya, potensi ekonomi dan peluang kerjasama; serta memperkasa belia sebagai pemimpin masa hadapan melalui aktiviti yang menggalakkan kepimpinan, inovasi dan pembangunan komuniti. Bagi segmen di NBD, para peserta bersama lebih daripada 200 belia tempatan turut terlibat dalam Forum Belia Brunei, yang berlangsung kelmarin. Ucaptama telah disampaikan oleh Menteri Sumber-Sumber Utama dan Pelancongan, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Dr. Awang Haji Abdul Manaf bin Haji Metussin, dengan tema 'BIMP-EAGA: Unlocking a Future of Innovation and Cross-Border Collaboration for the Next Generation of Entrepreneurs'. Forum tersebut diteruskan dengan sesi dialog interaktif bersama Menteri Kebudayaan, Belia dan Sukan, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Nazmi Mohamad; Timbalan Menteri Kewangan dan Ekonomi (Ekonomi), Yang Mulia Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Khairuddin bin Haji Abdul Hamid; serta Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Negara, Yang Berhormat Dayang Chong Chin Yee, yang menumpukan kepada topik 'Youth as the Catalyst of Change'. Selain itu, beberapa sesi dialog bertema turut diadakan bagi meneroka bagaimana belia di BIMP-EAGA dapat meningkatkan lagi hubungan sesama masyarakat melalui keusahawanan, dengan penekanan khusus kepada inovasi digital, ekopelancongan, pertanian, industri kreatif dan pembangunan mampan. Semasa Majlis Penutup Program Bas Belia BIMP-EAGA 2025, para peserta telah menyampaikan resolusi mereka dan menyerahkannya kepada tetamu kehormat iaitu Timbalan Setiausaha Tetap (Perdagangan dan Industri), Kementerian Kewangan dan Ekonomi selaku Pegawai Kanan bagi Sekretariat Kebangsaan BIMP-EAGA bagi NBD, Awang Mohammad Harris bin Brigadier Jeneral (B) Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim.
