In efforts to safeguard and preserve the welfare of new converts in the country, especially in strengthening Islamic religious knowledge in the fields of faith, worship and morality, the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Muallaf Development Division (Tarbiyah Muallaf) and the District Da'wah Branches organised a Basic Guidance Scheme for New Converts. The programme is held simultaneously in all four districts for 14 days, starting 28th of April until 16th of May.
In Brunei Muara District, the programme is held at the Islamic Da'wah Centre. 48 people are participating in the scheme. Throughout the implementation of the scheme, the participants are exposed to learning the basic knowledge of Fardhu 'Ain and Fardhu Kifayah as well as sharing sessions on Halal and Haram Nutrition and Livestock Slaughtering Techniques.
In Tutong District, 43 people participate in the programme. It takes place at the Tutong District Da'wah Branch Office.
Meanwhile in Temburong District, the programme is held at the Temburong District Da'wah Branch Office. 18 people participate in the programme. Whereas in Belait District, the scheme takes place at the Kuala Belait Municipal Department.
