Jerudong Park Medical Centre, JPMC, received an official visit from the delegation of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, led by Her Excellency Mrs Élia António de Araújo dos Reis Amaral, Minister of Health.
Welcoming the delegation was Dayangku Hajah Dewi Sarwani binti Pengiran Haji Sarpuddin, Member of the JPMC Board of Directors, and Doctor Hajah Rafidah binti Haji Gharif, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Professional as Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Health. The delegation was briefed on the institution's capabilities, followed by a guided tour of the Brunei Neuroscience Stroke and Rehabilitation Centre, and The Brunei Cancer Centre. The delegation also had the opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals.
The visit underscores the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector, fostering the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and enhancing regional collaboration in addressing shared healthcare priorities. It also reflects the continued commitment of both nations to advancing healthcare standards and promoting mutual understanding.
