The Ministry of Health urged for all relevant stakeholders to continue to strengthen collective efforts for the health and well-being of the citizens of Brunei Darussalam. Through the Multi-Sectoral Workshop on the Development of the National Strategy for Brunei Darussalam 2026–2035, for example, there is the potential to create a shared understanding of the importance of building an environment that supports, protects and promotes maternal, infant and young child nutrition. The workshop was held at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
The main objective of the workshop was to obtain views, suggestions and inputs from relevant parties from various sectors in formulating an effective and comprehensive strategy for Brunei Darussalam. The strategy aims to promote, protect and support optimal nutrition for pregnant mothers, infants and young children to address the double burden of nutritional problems, particularly the issue of obesity in the country which is becoming a major concern.
