Brunei Darussalam will celebrate the 1448 Hijrah New Year with the National Level Reading of End of Hijrah Year and Hijrah New Year Doa.
The event will be held on Tuesday, 16th of June 2026 at all mosques, suraus and religious halls nationwide from 5 in the afternoon. The focal of the event will be at Jame' 'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah, Kiarong; RPN Kampung Pandan Mosque, Kuala Belait; Hassanal Bolkiah Mosque in Tutong Town and Utama Mohammad Salleh Mosque, Bangar Town, Temburong. Among the highlights of the event is the reading of End of 1447 Hijrah Year and the 1448 Hijrah New Year Doa. The event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs; Ministry of Finance; Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Baiduri Bank Sendirian Berhad. This year's celebration carries the theme “Hijrah Penyelamat Aqidah".
Public are welcome to attend the event to jointly celebrate the arrival of the Hijrah New Year 1448.
