Four foreigners were arrested during 'Operasi Kakas' by the Department of Immigration and National Registration, Kuala Belait Branch, which targeted the surrounding areas in Mukim Belait.
Three of them were believed to have committed an offence under the Immigration Regulations, Chapter ONE SEVEN, namely working for a different employer. Meanwhile, another was believed to have committed an offence under the Immigration Act, Chapter ONE SEVEN, namely overstaying in the country after his immigration pass had expired; and an offence under the Immigration Regulations, Chapter ONE SEVEN, namely abetting an immigration offence.
