The Imam or prayer leader acts as a spiritual leader, not only to guide the congregants but also the leader of the family institution; delivering knowledge; and being a role model in the internalisation of daily practices. This was shared during the special programme session titled 'Programme for Strengthening Family Institutions Through Guidance of Imam and Makmum in the Family Second Series for Imam and Their Roles'. The programme was held at Rashidah Sa'adatul Bolkiah Mosque, Kampung Sungai Akar, 16th October morning.
Seventy participants took part in the programme comprising officers and staff of the Mosque Affairs Department; Royal Brunei Police Force; Fire and Rescue Department; Ministry of Development and Syarikat Brunei Takaful. It was jointly organised by the Imarah Division, Mosque Affairs Department and the Takmir Committee of said mosque.
