Supporting brighter futures through inclusive education

Hibiscus EP (Brunei) B.V. reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive and sustainable community development through the sponsorship of nine laptops to UnikLearn, an initiative by An-Nur Harapan dedicated to supporting neurodivergent youth and young adults including individuals with autism and other developmental needs.

Corporate Services Manager of Hibiscus EP (Brunei) B.V. Harina Ramlee in an opening remark highlighted the importance of fostering inclusive opportunities through thoughtful and needs-based community engagement.

An-Nur Harapan’s General Manager Melline Jaini also extended her gratitude to Hibiscus EP (Brunei) B.V. for the sponsorship of nine laptops.

UnikLearn plays a vital role in equipping its participants with essential life skills, vocational training and real world exposure. Its programmes are designed to build confidence, promote independence and enable individuals to participate meaningfully in society.

By focusing on structured and practical learning pathways, UnikLearn supports participants in developing capabilities that are relevant to everyday life and potential employment opportunities.

The contribution of laptops is intended to strengthen programme delivery by enhancing access to digital tools that support learning, communication and creative engagement. In today’s increasingly digital environment, such access is critical in enabling participants to build digital literacy, improve adaptability and explore pathways towards further education and employment.

The sponsorship contributes to broader development priorities aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through enhancing access to inclusive learning resources, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by supporting skills development and employability pathways and SDG 10 (Reduced Inequalities) by enabling greater access to opportunities for individuals with developmental needs.

Through such initiatives, Hibiscus EP (Brunei) B.V. continues to support efforts that promote inclusivity and equal opportunity while contributing to the development of a more resilient and empowered community in Brunei Darussalam.

Hibiscus EP (Brunei) B.V. also acknowledged the dedication of the UnikLearn team in advancing inclusive education and empowering neurodivergent individuals to achieve their full potential. – James Kon
