Water disruption hits Brunei-Muara, Tutong

Residents in parts of Brunei-Muara and Tutong districts may experience water supply disruptions or low water pressure following a power supply interruption affecting two water treatment plants.

The Public Works Department (JKR) said the power interruption, reported by the Department of Electrical Services from 1.07pm today, affected water production at the Bukit Barun and Layong water treatment plants.

As a result, water supply and pressure in areas across Brunei-Muara and Tutong districts may be affected.

Residents requiring water tanker assistance may contact the Darussalam Line 123.

JKR issued the notice on Friday and advised affected residents of the potential disruption while water production is impacted.
