Dikir Maulud marks Prophet’s birth anniversary

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments held the opening ceremony of Dikir Maulud in commemoration of the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) at the Ash-Shaliheen Mosque, PMO Complex recently.

The ceremony began with the presentation of a waqaf contribution to a representative of Ash-Shaliheen Mosque by Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof.

The ceremony proceeded with the congregational Maghrib prayer, followed by the recitation of wirid, doa and Surah Al-Fatihah and continued with Dikir Assalamualaika and Dikir Syarafil Anam performed by the Al-Alzam Tausyeh Group.

Following the congregational Isyak prayer, a Dikir Marhaban was performed, followed by the doa after Dikir and Doa Peliharakan Sultan dan Negara Brunei Darussalam, marking the conclusion of the ceremony.

This year’s ceremony was jointly organised by the Brunei Vision Office, PMO as Chair of the Organising Committee, in collaboration with the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the State Judiciary Department.
