Her Royal Highness and members of the royal family were escorted into the venue by the Co-Advisers and Co-Chairpersons from the co-organising agencies of the National Women’s Special Gathering Ceremony. The ceremony began with a recitation of Al-Quran verses by Hajah Nurhaneyah binti Nordin, third-place winner of the National-Level Final Adult Al-Quran Reading Competition for 1447 Hijrah/2026, followed by Tadabbur by Siti Syuhaidah binti Haji Mohd Yussof, Religious Development Officer at the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI).

Acting Director of Islamic Studies, Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) and Co-Chairperson of the National Women’s Special Gathering Ceremony Hajah Mariana binti Haji Jamil, in her welcoming remarks, said this year’s National Women’s Special Gathering is the 33rd edition since it was first held in 1416 Hijrah, corresponding to 1995.

The ceremony is organised annually by the MoRA in collaboration with various government and private-sector agencies.

This year’s co-organisers are the Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and National Council of Women Brunei Darussalam and carries the theme ‘Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam Suluh Aqidah’.

She emphasised that a sound Aqidah should be built and guided based on the revelation of Allah the Almighty, rather than solely on human opinions, customs or assumptions.

Revelation serves as a guide to truth, guiding mankind from straying away from the path that is pleasing to Allah the Almighty.

She further highlighted that guidance is a gift from Allah the Almighty to His servants who sincerely seek the truth, strive to draw closer to Him and earnestly practise the teachings He has prescribed.

The ceremony continued with a Dikir Marhaban performance by a combined group of officers and staff. The gathering also saw a special religious talk delivered by invited speaker from Malaysia Asma binti Harun.

This was followed by Selawat recitations by students from the Al-Quran Recitation Scheme, Islamic Studies Department, and MoRA.

To bless the ceremony, a Doa Selamat was recited by PDI Acting Director Pengiran Hajah Haslina binti Pengiran Haji Piut.
