Deputy Director of Information Sastra Sarini binti Haji Julaini highlighted the Information Department’s vital role as the government’s voice, eyes, and ears in disseminating the latest policies, information, and current issues to the public during the ‘Program Sua Muka’ at the Intisar Hall of the Belait District Office on August 29, 2026.
She shared that official information is conveyed through various outreach platforms, including the Program Sua Muka and the government newspaper Pelita Brunei, noting that the face-to-face programme remains one of the department’s core operational strategies.
The session was organised by the Information Department at the Prime Minister’s Office through the Strategic Communications Division Belait District Branch to disseminate information on current issues and government policies while gathering grassroots feedback for government agencies. The deputy director of information led the Information Department delegation, while Acting Village Head of Kampong Pandan ‘F’ Hazrul Faizal bin Haji Zinni represented the local community.
The initiative aims to strengthen two-way communication between the government and the public through active community engagement programmes that contribute to the development and progress of mukim and village communities.
The acting village head of Kampong Pandan ‘F’ underscored the programme’s importance as an effective platform for fostering closer ties, exchanging views, and addressing community matters directly. The programme also featured informative briefings for residents.
Acting Head of the Strategic Communications Division Mufidah binti Abdul Hakim delivered a presentation titled ‘Dissemination of False Information’, while E-Government National Centre Special Duties Officer Level II Muhammad Amir Azizi bin Haji Shukry presented on ‘BruneiID’.
The event concluded with a dialogue session where residents raised local concerns for discussion, including matters regarding infrastructure, security, and public amenities, providing an avenue for the community to share direct feedback with the authorities.
