The National Women’s Special Gathering Ceremony in conjunction with the 1448 Hijrah Celebration of Maulud Nabi Muhammad Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam will be held today at the Royal Berkshire Hall, Jerudong.
It will feature Al-Quran recitation and Tadabbur, Dikir Marhaban, a special religious talk and Selawat performances.
A full rehearsal was held at the venue yesterday to ensure that preparations for the ceremony are well coordinated and the event runs smoothly.
Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan, in his capacity as Chairman of the Executive Committee for the National-Level Islamic Celebrations and the National-Level Adult Al-Quran Reading Competition for 1448 Hijrah witnessed the rehearsal.
Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof; Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office (Security and Law) Dato Seri Setia Haji Sufian bin Haji Sabtu; and Minister of Transport and Infocommunications and Acting Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Dato Seri Setia Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mohammed Yunos were also present.
The ceremony carries the theme ‘Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam Suluh Aqidah’.
This year’s event is jointly organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Prime Minister’s Office, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Brunei Malay Chamber of Commerce and Industry Women Council Brunei Darussalam.
