The Youth Da’ie Volunteer Body, with the support of the Secretariat of the Youth Religious Programme, Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI), Ministry of Religious Affairs, has embarked on the inaugural Youth Da’ie Dakwah and Umrah Journey 2026.
The 15-day, 13-night programme running from September 1, 2026 to September 15, 2026, takes participants from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to Taif, Makkah Al-Mukarramah and finally Madinah Al-Munawwarah.
Held for the first time this year in conjunction with the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Youth Da’ie Volunteer Body, the journey brings together 29 participants comprising members of the body’s committee and their families, Dakwah Academy alumni and members of the public.
The delegation is led by representative of the Secretariat of the Youth Religious Programme, PDI Nooranizah binti Haji Tamin.
Also accompanying the group are youth religious scholars, including Muhammad Yussof bin Haji Abdul Majid, who serves as the journey’s mutawif, and Siti Hurul-Ain Diyana binti Haji Abdul Majid @ Vieana, who is the programme chairperson.
The journey is designed to strengthen participants’ faith, enhance their appreciation of worship, foster brotherhood and nurture the spirit of dakwah through a closer appreciation of the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in Makkah and Madinah. The participants departed for Kuala Lumpur from Brunei International Airport last Tuesday, before continuing their journey to Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
Prior to departure, a brief briefing and Doa Selamat ceremony were held, followed by Solat Sunnat Hajat at the departure surau.
Throughout the journey, participants will visit several significant locations, beginning with Taif before proceeding to Makkah Al-Mukarramah to perform Umrah and visit historical sites, including the Hajj ritual sites, Cave of Hira and Hudaibiyah.
Alongside personal acts of worship and activities centred on the appreciation of the Prophet’s (pbuh) biography, community service through the Infaq Sabil initiative will also form a key component of the programme.
The initiative aims to distribute food and drinks to 200 underprivileged people in Makkah, with permission from the Ministry of Interior of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The delegation will then travel to Madinah Al-Munawwarah on September 9, 2026 to visit the resting place of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), as well as historical sites including Quba Mosque, Qiblatain Mosque, Mount Uhud and the Khandaq area.
The organisers expressed hope that the Dakwah Journey will provide participants with meaningful spiritual and dakwah experiences while serving as ruhiyyah sustenance, enabling them to return with stronger faith and renewed enthusiasm to serve the community and nation through volunteerism.
