By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, it is hereby announced that His Majesty has consented to the promotion and appointment of several senior officers.
Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim to be promoted and appointed as Permanent Secretary (Policy and Administration) at the Ministry of Defence; Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Poh Kui Choon to be promoted and appointed as Permanent Secretary (Finance and Development) at the Ministry of Defence; Head of Inspectorate Royal Brunei Armed Forces Captain Haji Norbahrin bin Haji Muamad, Royal Brunei Navy, to be promoted and appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Policy and Administration) at the Ministry of Defence; and Acting Director of Development and Work Services, Directorate of Development and Work Services, Ministry of Defence Sr Hajah Wan Farhani binti Haji Suhaili to be promoted and appointed as Deputy Permanent Secretary (Finance and Development) at the Ministry of Defence.
The date of promotion and appointment of the said senior officers is effective from Wednesday, 27th of Rabiulawal, 1448 Hijrah, corresponding to September 9, 2026.
