Talk urges emulating Prophet’s noble character

The importance of emulating the noble character of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as a foundation for developing good character, fulfilling entrusted responsibilities with dedication, and fostering harmony within society was among the key messages highlighted during a talk titled ‘Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi Wasallam Suluh Aqidah’.

The event was held yesterday in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul celebration for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) and its departments and divisions.

Held at Setia Pahlawan Hall at the METI Building, the gathering was attended by Acting Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Dato Seri Setia Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos as the guest of honour.

The special talk was delivered by Islamic Da’wah Centre Assistant Religious Development Officer Muhammad Safwan bin Mohd Suffian.

He emphasised that love for Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) should be translated through the observance of his Sunnah and the emulation of his noble character in daily life, including practising trustworthiness, honesty, justice, and good moral conduct when carrying out duties and responsibilities, as well as in interactions with others.

The speaker also touched upon the importance of constant self-reflection and self-improvement to cultivate better character and moral conduct, alongside enhancing knowledge and upholding proper etiquette in every aspect of life, including social media interactions, by avoiding acts such as insulting, slandering, and exposing the faults of others.

Attendees were also encouraged to foster a positive and supportive environment that promotes greater faith, piety, and collective well-being.

Organised by the Tourism Development Department, the event is among the METI’s annual activities held to enliven the Maulidur Rasul celebration, while strengthening appreciation of Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) life and noble character and fostering closer ties among ministry personnel, officers, and staff.

The programme also featured a Dikir Marhaban performance by a combined group of dikir performers from the METI.

Permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments, senior officials, as well as officers and staff from across the METI, including its departments and divisions were also in attendance.
