The Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) on Tuesday held a full rehearsal for the 36th Brunei Darussalam Teacher’s Day Celebration 2026 to oversee final preparations of the ceremony.
Held at the International Convention Centre (ICC), Minister of Religious Affairs Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Haji Mohammad Tashim bin Pengiran Haji Hassan and Minister of Education Datin Seri Setia Dr Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, as well as Deputy Minister of Education Dato Seri Paduka Dr Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal were present.
The 36th Brunei Darussalam Teacher’s Day Celebration will be held today at the Plenary Hall, ICC with this year’s celebration themed ‘Teachers as Catalysts for Sustainable Education and Innovation’, and the sub- theme ‘Educating with Wisdom, Guiding a Harmonious and Innovative Generation’.
The highlight of the Teacher’s Day Celebration is the presentation of the Teacher’s Day Awards, held to honor the contributions and dedication of educators across the nation.
On the sideline of the celebration is the Teacher’s Day Exhibition, centred around the theme ‘Educating with Wisdom, Guiding a Harmonious and Innovative Generation’.
Permanent Secretaries and Deputy Permanent Secretaries from the MoRA and the MoE, as well as members of the Executive Committee for the 36th Brunei Darussalam Teacher’s Day Celebration 2026 also attended the rehearsal.
A special holiday in conjunction with the 36th Teacher’s Day Celebration 2026 will be given to all schools in Brunei Darussalam, including higher education institutions under the purview of the MoE and the MoRA, on Wednesday.
