The driver of one of the two vehicles involved in a road accident in Seria around midnight on Friday, died following the accident.
According to the Fire and Rescue Department, an emergency call regarding a road accident involving a vehicle fire in Seria was received around midnight.
Seven firefighters, together with two fire engines from Seria Fire Station, led by Acting Station Officer Rosli bin Sabli, were dispatched.
Upon arrival, the firefighters found that the accident involved two vehicles, one of which had caught fire. The driver of the vehicle had passed away.
The driver of the other vehicle, who sustained injuries, had exited the vehicle before the arrival of the firefighters. The victim was taken to Suri Seri Begawan Hospital for treatment. The firefighters carried out firefighting operations using a hose reel supplied with water from the tank of fire engine WRL/39. The fire was extinguished within three minutes.
