The five-month ‘Ikon Muallaf 2.0: Jalan Lima programme for 1447-1448H/2026M’ concluded with a convocation ceremony at the Conference Hall of the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI) in Kampong Pulaie yesterday.
Acting Secretary of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, Department of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council, Ministry of Religious Affairs Pengiran Ahmad Faris Ramadhani bin Pengiran Haji Sellahuddin, the guest of honour, said the convocation was not merely a conclusion to a programme, but also a milestone and an opportunity to celebrate the participants’ journey in gaining knowledge, building confidence, developing their potential and strengthening bonds of brotherhood. “All knowledge, skills and experiences gained throughout this programme should be used as provisions to continue moving forward. Do not be afraid to seize opportunities, try new things and continue to improve yourselves,” he said.
He expressed hope that the programme would produce more confident, knowledgeable and morally upright young converts who are ready to step forward as individuals capable of serving as positive examples in society.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of Belia Muallaf As-Syahadah Nurul Huda binti Muhammad Ashraf congratulated participants for their dedication, enthusiasm and commitment throughout the programme.
She expressed hope that their efforts and participation would be of great value in the sight of Allah the Almighty and continue to benefit the convert community and society as a whole.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar and Surah Al-Fatihah, led by Muhammad Fazeerul Dhawi bin Abdullah Tikom, followed by the recitation of Surah Ali ‘Imran, verses 102 to 104, by Muhammad Aldey Yusriman bin Abdullah Adnan. The essence of the verses was shared by participant of the Ikon Muallaf 2.0 programme Nurhafizzah binti Rosli.
The guest of honour presented certificates and prizes to the participants.
