Religious school teachers honoured for dedication, service

Teachers’ dedication and sacrifices in educating and guiding the younger generation were celebrated at a Teacher’s Day celebration for officers and teachers of Religious Schools in Brunei IV Area yesterday.

The event began with the recitation of Sayyidul Istighfar, Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Kesyukuran. This was followed by welcoming remarks by Religious Studies Officer for Brunei IV Area, Religious Schools Division, Islamic Studies Department Hajah Muizzah binti Kefli.

The celebration featured a special Teacher’s Day video presentation, performances by female and male teachers, as well as the presentation of Teacher’s Day awards by Assistant Director (Corporate Services), Islamic Studies Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs Haslinah Susanti binti Haji Mohd Hassan, the guest of honour. It also included a Kahoot competition and lucky draw.

Held in conjunction with the 36th Teacher’s Day celebration, the event was organised by the Religious Schools Leaders Committee of Brunei IV Area.

The event was held as a gesture of appreciation for the dedication and contributions of teachers, while also aiming to strengthen their motivation to continue delivering excellent service and foster closer ties among members of the school community.
