The Office of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam announced that Her Royal Highness Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Zariah binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, the wife of His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 5.43pm, corresponding to 24 Rabiulakhir 1448 Hijrah.
Following her demise, His Majesty has commanded that the national flag, which is normally flown at full mast, be lowered to one-quarter of the flagpole for one day today, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, corresponding to 25 Rabiulakhir 1448 Hijrah.
