The sentences were handed down on October 26, with both men’s prison terms ordered to run concurrently from October 19, 2026.

Investigations found that the two men entered the school premises several times between October 9 and 16, stealing a laptop, two portable speakers, two closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras and cash.

In one incident, they used a key taken during an earlier break-in to gain entry to the school.

The principal’s office door and security grilles on the windows of several rooms were also damaged.

Police recovered some of the stolen property, including the laptop. The first incident was detected by the school’s night watchman, while CCTV footage also assisted the investigation.

Both men faced seven charges under Sections 380 and 427 of the Penal Code, Chapter 22, relating to theft and causing damage to property.
