Da’ie equipped with digital preaching skills

Thirty da’ie from the Islamic Da’wah Centre (PDI), Ministry of Religious Affairs and its district branches are taking part in a three-day programme aimed at strengthening their digital preaching skills and equipping them to produce creative and effective Islamic content for online audiences.

Organised by the PDI through its Da’wah Dissemination Division (Lectures), ‘Program Pemantapan Da’ie: Memperkasa Da’wah Digital’, runs from October 26 to today at Bilik Al-Mau’izhah, Darul Huda Building, PDI in Kampong Pulaie.

Throughout the programme, participants receive guidance and practical training in basic video-editing techniques using the CapCut application. As a follow-up assignment, participants are required to produce a dakwah video of at least three minutes within three weeks, using supplied footage.

The completed videos will be assessed based on the quality of the dakwah message, participants’ presentation skills and the standard of video editing.

Through the initiative, the PDI hopes to strengthen the ability of da’ie to produce higher-quality, creative and effective digital dakwah content.

The programme is also expected to expand the dissemination of Islamic messages in ways that keep pace with technological developments and meet the needs of people across different generations.

The participants comprise da’ie from the centre, including representatives from the Belait, Tutong and Temburong district branches.

The programme aims to enhance participants’ competencies in digital dakwah, strengthen strategies for delivering Islamic messages through digital media, develop their skills in creating engaging content and broaden the reach of dakwah through online platforms. – Lyna Mohamad
